Any new purchase of Pixelmator ($ 30 from the Mac App Store) will of course be the latest version and thus have access to the vector tools. To access “Vectormator”, you must upgrade to Pixelmator 2.2 or newer (free update) from the App Store. This is pretty incredible to be hidden in an existing $ 30 app, and it’s powerful enough to easily be its own dedicated application. And here’s Pixelmator which immediately afterwards became Vectormator by pressing the magic Command + Shift + V keyboard shortcut, with a complete toolbar transformation, with new shape and vector drawing tools:īest of all, you can switch back between Pixelmator and Vectormator by just enabling that keyboard shortcut again so you can draw some vector shapes and then quickly jump back to Pixel mode and back again.
